Our Team
We’re passionate about helping families navigate the process of identifying whether an IEP or 504 Plan may be right for their child. By partnering with local educators and specialists, we empower families with clear information, compassionate support, and a strong network of resources.

Cori Jensen is both a parent and a foster parent who understands firsthand the uncertainty that comes with sitting in an IEP meeting without fully grasping the terminology or the process.
During her own experience, she relied on the guidance of friends who had navigated the system before her, as well as insight from a family member working within the school system. Recognizing that many other parents face the same confusion and stress, she became determined to ensure that no one else would have to struggle through the process alone.
Out of that commitment, she founded Advocate Innovations—a resource designed to empower families with the clarity, confidence, and support they deserve

Founder & President

Jenna Slonaker
Director of Operations
Jenna Slonaker is a solo parent to an AuDHD child and was recently diagnosed as AuDHD herself, giving her a deeply personal understanding of how neurodivergent students experience school systems.
For more than a decade, she has advocated for her own child within 504 and IEP processes, learning firsthand what it takes for learning plans to be both comprehensive and truly supportive. Through that experience, she has seen how thoughtfully designed accommodations can unlock meaningful academic engagement, peer connection, and collaboration with educators.
Driven by a belief that children deserve more than minimal compliance, Jenna is committed to ensuring students receive the robust supports they need to thrive. Her work centers on helping families move from confusion and overwhelm to clarity, confidence, and empowered advocacy.

Alex Wanner
Director of Technology
Alex Wanner is a father to two young daughters who are about to enter the education system, a milestone that has deepened his commitment to supporting families on similar paths. He has always been passionate about helping others, which made the opportunity to contribute to this organization especially meaningful.

Diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, he spent much of his childhood navigating his own educational journey and learning the value of strong support systems. Later, a more complete diagnosis during his teenage years further shaped his understanding of the challenges many students face.

These personal experiences continue to inspire him to advocate for accessible resources, understanding, and meaningful guidance for all families.
